Octopied Mind Blankets and Art Gifts

Octopied Mind designs are made for people who prefer their home décor with personality. Instead of playing it safe, the artwork blends dark humour, vulnerability and emotional honesty into pieces that feel both playful and surprisingly personal.

Wrap yourself in one of their illustrated blankets, display the artwork in your favourite room or give one to the friend who immediately understands the joke. These are cozy gifts for people with complicated feelings and excellent taste.

Hand-Drawn Art with Something to Say

Every Octopied Mind design begins as a hand-drawn sketch. The artwork explores the uncomfortable, funny and imperfect moments people often experience but do not always say out loud.

The result is art that can spark laughter, recognition and meaningful conversation. It is expressive without pretending that everything is fine—and that honesty is a large part of the brand’s appeal.

A Canadian Brand Rooted in Friendship

Octopied Mind was founded by childhood best friends Jill and Sarah, who grew up together in New Brunswick. The brand began with a small batch of hand-screen-printed shirts sold at a local Ottawa market and grew through the connection people felt with its artwork.

Today, Octopied Mind is an Indigenous-founded, queer-run and women-led Canadian company creating art-driven products for people who value individuality, humour and authentic self-expression.

Bold Blankets for Cozy, Expressive Spaces

Octopied Mind blankets combine functional comfort with statement-making artwork. Use one as a couch throw, layer it over a bed, hang it as textile art or keep it close for movie nights, reading and quiet days at home.

Before ordering, review the individual product page for exact dimensions, materials and care instructions. Artwork placement and colour may vary slightly between products and screen displays.

Gift Ideas for the Wonderfully Weird

Octopied Mind products make memorable gifts for people who enjoy offbeat art, dark humour and meaningful design. They are especially well suited to:

• Birthdays and housewarming gifts
• Friends who appreciate dark or unconventional humour
• Cozy care packages and comfort gifts
• Mental-health advocates and creative thinkers
• People who want home décor that feels personal
• Anyone tired of generic gifts

Responsible, Small-Batch Production

Octopied Mind produces in limited batches and works to reduce unnecessary waste. Products that do not meet its standards may be repurposed, donated or reimagined rather than simply discarded.

Octopied Mind is a Canadian brand, but the manufacturing origin and materials can vary by product. Please consult each product listing for its specific production and care details.
