Mother Earth Essentials

Mother Earth Essentials was created by Carrie Armstrong, who has a rich ancestry of Cree Medicine Women. Her passion for traditional plants and their connection to history, combined with her previous experience in the beauty and retail industries, inspired her to launch her line of natural products at Amiskwaciy Academy during her first teaching job.

Carrie's natural recipes and plant knowledge were incredibly significant to her and she eagerly wanted to share them with others. However, she faced a challenge as her mother and aunt had been sent to residential school, putting the generational teachings at risk. In response, Carrie teamed up with her grandmother, elders, and medicine people to create and cultivate the foundations for Mother Earth products.
