In early 2019, Sherah and Shelby, husband and wife, established Misiyo with the intention of marrying their adoration of candles with their commitment to a non-profit in Rwanda. Every candle sold by the socially-conscious company provides a donation.

We began our candle-making process with beeswax, intrigued by its benefits. Ultimately, we developed a special wax blend by adding coconut wax to the mix. After months of research and experimentation with multiple mason jars, we achieved our goal of creating clean-burning, eco-friendly, and luxurious candles.
