Many moons ago while on holiday Chris and Paula were sitting in a brew pub in San Francisco and they tried their very first warm smoked olive. To say that that moment was life changing would be an understatement! They returned to British Columbia after this epic moment without the faintest idea just how big of a change was on the horizon. Over the next few years they searched to find smoked olives to purchase but did not succeed. Finally, both being Chef's and owning a gourmet food store, they decided it was time to try and make them themselves and sell them. A smoker was purchased, mistakes were made, lots of olives were eaten and then...voila! The perfect combination was at hand. A bottle of wine later a name for this new venture was created and the rest is history.
